The Academic Senate of the FBM Bratislava is the self-governing representative body of the Scientific Committee. It is divided into an employee and student section. Members of the staff member of the AS FIR  are elected in direct elections by members of the employee part of the academic community. Members of the student part of the AS FIR are elected in secret elections by members of the student part of the academic community. The term of office of the employee part of the AS FIR UE is four years, for the student part of AS FIR UE two years.

The College of Dean is an advisory body of the Dean of the Faculty. The members of the College are according to art. 14, paragraph. 10 Statute of the Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Bratislava the Dean, vice-deans, secretary of the Faculty, the head of departments, the chairman of the Academic Senate FIR UE, representative of the unions, representative of the student Parliament of the FIR UE and others as decided by the Dean.
