Faculty of International Relations of the University of Economics in Bratislava (FIR) is one of the seven faculties of the University of Economics in Bratislava. The FIR was established by the decree of the University of Economics in Bratislava on the 17th of January 2000.

The number of departments of the faculty has been reduced from five to three since 1.9.2007, when the original Department of the World Economy and the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy were merged into the current form of the Department of International Economic Relations and the Economic Diplomacy, along with merging the Department of Political Science and the Department of Humanities to the Department of International Political Relations. In addition, the Department of International Law is also located at the Faculty.

Since its inception, the FIR has provided university studies at the Master and doctoral degree in the study field 302500 International Relations. Since the academic year 2005/2006, FIR provided university studies in the accredited study field 3.3.17 International Economic Relations. Since 2019 in the field of study Economics and Management, the FIR has accredited the following study program:

  • Bachelor degree – study program: International Economic Relations (full-time form of study);
  • Master degree - study program: Economic Diplomacy (full-time form of study);
  • Doctoral degree - study program: International Economic Relations (both full-time and external form of study).

The FIR is accredited for the implementation of these study programs in English.
